Assistant Herdsman / Herd Health Manager job opening on a large dairy farm in Eastern Wisconsin. Several years of recent experience caring for the health of large dairy herds a must. Keen observer of herd health and behavior required. Must demonstrate proven ability to interact and coordinate work with veterinarians and nutritionists including experience with herd vaccination programs and protocols, caring for sick and lame animals, setting herd goals with team members and senior management, intravenous injections, diagnosing and treating sick cows, caring for calves and fresh cows, adhering to written protocols, keeping records, training and supervising employees.
