Dairy Farm Herdsman job opening available in Eastern Iowa for on a 130 cow dairy herd farm with 250 acres of corn, alfalfa, oats and soybeans. Must have several years of experience. Spend 70% of time with herd and 30% of time with field work. General dairy farm knowledge with a good attitude and an interest in a long term commitment resulting in a dairy farm career extremely desirable. Demonstrated high skill levels needed in the areas of milking, maternity, AI, breeding, heard herd health and behavior, record keeping, nutrition, and operating field, forage, manure, feeding and milking equipment. No housing on the farm but nice apartment close by. |
